Renowned Chef Collette Haw’s Culinary Roots Run Deep
Chef Collette Haw is the mind behind the menu at Nourish Coffee Bar + Kitchen in Winter Park. A Florida-native, Chef Collette is no stranger to gourmet food – her great-grandmother was a seamstress and cook for the Johnson family of the iconic Johnson & Johnson corporation, and her mom, Sharon, is our tremendously talented baker. Chef Collette followed in their culinary footsteps and graduated from one of the best training schools in the world, the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York. She went on to work as a personal chef for celebrities and in local kitchens, and later perfected her own meal delivery service focused on healthy food with a twist. All of Chef Collette’s menu items are based on this “comfort food with a healthy twist” approach. As part of the Center for Health & Wellbeing’s commitment to community education, Chef Collette teaches regular cooking classes in the CHWB Nutrition Theatre.
Seasonal Menu Items Straight From Our Garden
One of Chef Collette’s favorite things about her work at Nourish is the creativity she gets to use when creating new menu items each season. Making healthy dishes taste like traditional comfort classic meals is her claim to fame, so she doesn’t cut corners when bringing our customers, the healthiest and best ingredients. Chef Collette pieces together ingredients directly from our garden to create our menu. She uses seasonal, fresh herbs, produce, and other greens straight from our garden at the Center for Health & Wellbeing. While some of the menu items are staples throughout the year, Chef Collette adds exciting and new seasonal menu items depending on our harvest selection.
